My Over Exfoliating Experience

Hello Everyone!! πŸ™‚

So today I would like to talk about my over exfoliating issue that occured more than a year ago. I have a few tips on this blog post, but please understand that everyone’s skin is different and some of my tips won’t work for everyone. Also, keep in mind I am not a skin specialist, and I am writing this based on my personal experience.

Basically, last year I was quite oblivious about what I was using on my face and the causes, so I just took anything and started using it every morning. I was using an exfoliant. I was so ignorant :(. It was fine for quite a while, until I went on a camping trip and couldn’t was my face with the exfoliant for about a week. Then, I got home and started using the exfoliant as usual again, but my skin wasn’t used to it and therefore it made my skin very dry and flaky.

After this, I stopped using the exfoliant everyday and I realised (once my skin had recovered) that my forehead had small lumps on it. I am assuming this was a reaction to the over-exfoliating (If you are a skin specialist and know what it is please tell me, thankyou πŸ™‚ ). I had those lumps for quite a few months; assuming they will go away by themselves.

Let’s just say, that was a year ago and my skin is still recovering from the over-exfoliating. My skin is a lot better than what it was like but not the way it was before.Β Don’t get me wrong, exfoliating is great when done properly and appropriately.

I just wanted to share this, as I would hate for anyone to make the same mistake I did and to be aware of what you are using on your skin and how often to use it.

Thankyou for reading πŸ™‚

Keep Smiling πŸ˜€
